"Once upon a time, a kind teacher told me: “Your son is a genius, but a horribly bad temper one.” I agreed 100 percent with the teacher. My eldest son is a top achiever, massive curiosity, mature, sensible, independent…, he is everything but a easy going kid. I can describe him in one sentence:”Smartest of them all, eccentric of them all.” I can remember an incident, where one of his peers asked him something about their homework, he suddenly broke into a fit of rage and scolded the child for being stupid. Hence Wen Zhe’s intense temper kept everyone away from him and received frequent scolding from teachers. When the rest of peers are having fun, my son is hiding in the corner studying a bunch of ants crawling on wall, with no intention of joining them at all. Furthermore, Wen Zhe always wore a mucking expression that tells you he just couldn’t care less. Obviously lack of motivation and passion, all these deepen others’ misjudgment towards him. His rage was more terrible at home, especially towards me and his little brother. Fights were common between two of them, still the fierce look and uncontrollable fury when he was hitting his younger brother never stopped sent a chill down my spine.
